Recommendations from the U.S. Media Working Group, 2008 Forum at the Dead Sea
Recommendations from the U.S. Media Working Group of the Arab-US Media Forum meeting at the Dead Sea in Jordan, March 2008:
* Provide links to useful Arab websites, encourage visibility for Arab bloggers by compiling lists of contacts for U.S. media outlets. We should note that 2008 Forum member Betsy Morgan's publication, Huffington Post, has added many new Arab voices to HuffPo since the conference at the Dead Sea. Kudos to Betsy and HuffPo for the excellent follow-through!
* Develop FAQ products for American journalists writing about the Middle East.
* Encourage engagement in international or regional digital journalism organizations like Online Publishers Association (OPA) and Online News Association (ONA).
